A Letter from the President
As I struggle every Day with Mental Health, and being told by love ones “Get Over It!” I have found the passion and strength to fight back. After enduring abused as a Veteran and watching other Veterans being abused by the system, I realized it was time to take a stand and break the silence.
I knew God had a purpose for my life, and after fasting, many tears, and prayers, he finally had me on this journey. I believe that this journey of assisting Veterans suffering with mental Health is one that is worth the fight. I have been fighting this war since 2000, and now I am ready to not do it alone. The Stigma with Mental Health in the Veteran Community is real and has contributed to the increase in homelessness, increase in suicide rate, divorce rate, etc.,
Our Vets is a non-profit Organization whose mission will be on advocating and educating the Community to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental Health in the Veteran Community. will focus on advocating and educating to erase Mental Health in Veteran Community. I know this is my calling and I believe Our Vets is what God’s purpose is for me.
Our Vets Stands for a Journey to end the negative stigma surrounding mental health in the Veteran Community and to break the barriers that we are broken. We are Veterans and we have the strength push through anything as we stand together!
So Join me on this journey to break the stigma.
